From One Chair to a Collective

Salty Hair Collective specializes in beautifully crafted lived-in, low-maintenance hair color and invisible bead extensions on medium to long length hair. We offer an intimate setting filled with positive energy so every guest leaves feeling uplifted, loved, and more confident than ever before.

"In 2016, after nine years of my husband serving in the Marine Corps, our family moved back home. Soon after, I opened my first salon space in Falmouth — a tiny 450-square-foot studio that would eventually evolve into Salty Hair Collective, one of the most sought-after destinations for lived-in hair color on Cape Cod. What started as a one-chair dream has grown into a full collective of stylists specializing in effortless, low-maintenance color — and a salon culture that prioritizes calm and connection."

Extensions

Invisible Bead Extensions

A row of beads is placed onto very small sections of your natural hair, and the extension hair is hand-sewn onto the row — minimal points of contact and zero glue, tape, or fusion involved. Every weft is 100% human, silicone-free hair, custom colored and blended so it stays undetectable whether your hair is up or down.

  • Reinstallation needed every 6–10 weeks as your natural hair grows
  • Full replacement recommended every 6–10 months
  • Safe for swimming and workouts (braiding recommended)
  • Avoid haircare containing Avobenzone — it can discolor extensions

Yes, at this time we are accepting new color, cut and extension clients with medium to long length hair.

Each stylist has a specific specialty and unique demand on their time, so pricing varies. See the Services section above for starting ranges, and request an appointment for a personalized quote. Prices may increase at any time.

Request an appointment by emailing or calling the salon. This helps us determine how long of a service to schedule and with which stylist. We respond Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm.

We specialize in lived-in color and invisible bead extensions on medium to long length hair — we focus our expertise rather than offering every service.

Yes — ask to be added to our waitlist for cancellations.

48+ hours notice is required (72 hours for extensions). Under 48 hours: 50% fee of all scheduled services. Same-day or no-show: 100% fee. Arriving 15+ minutes late: 100% fee.

If you're unhappy with your hair within 7 days of leaving the salon, we'll make it right. Our redo guarantee requires using our prescribed salon products at home.

We're Hiring Stylists

We're recruiting experienced, grounded, kind, and relationship-driven stylists confident in their craft and open to continuous learning. Success should include time for family, health, and the life you're building outside the salon — most stylists here work three to four days a week with flexible scheduling.

Position: Commission-based, part-time to full-time
Immediate openings: Mondays & every other Saturday
Full-time openings: February & April 2027 (Wed–Sat)
Schedule: Flexible, 3–4 days/week typical
